Music is a gift…
It calms… it excites… it challenges… it ignites…
Put a concept into any musical style or genre and it will attract an audience that will hear whatever message, story, sentiment, religious or political view that’s being conveyed… so with this gift we must use much wisdom.
I felt the stirring of this gift from an early age. It was nurtured in a very supportive environment and encouraged to be developed. As a kid I remember strumming anything I could lay my hands on (yes, even tennis racquets) until I got my first ‘real’ guitar at the age of 13.
And so the journey began...
Combining this gift with the privilege of growing up in an atmosphere of faith, hope and love meant that music was the perfect vehicle to express a message that now forms the foundation of who I am today.
Songwriting came next – lyrics, melodies, chords, accompaniment, arrangements; sometimes coming all at once and sometimes laboured over for days…weeks… months…
Music Production, exploring other Instruments and Recording quickly followed as a means to capture the ‘moments’ which thus birthed a passion for all things technical and the never ending challenge to balance raw organic creativity with clinical technology.
Music is my life. It’s with me every waking moment like a faithful companion. I know I was created to play, sing, write and share the joy that music brings to me. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to use this small piece of cyber real estate to share my musical journey with you…
